COMMUNITY. CONNECTION. COMPETITION
The Chai Story.

Where Competition Meets Community
Camp Chai Leagues is built for players of all ages—youth and adults—who love the game and the community that comes with it. Our leagues emphasize friendly competition, strong sportsmanship, and meaningful connections, creating an environment where athletes can grow, compete, and have fun both on and off the field.
Beyond sports, Camp Chai Leagues is also a hub for local businesses to connect with an engaged and active community. Through a variety of sponsorship levels, businesses have the opportunity to gain visibility, support youth and adult programming, and be part of something that brings people together. Whether you’re playing, cheering, or sponsoring, Camp Chai Leagues is where competition meets community.

BEHIND IT ALL.

Founder & Owner
Sammy Schwartz
Sammy Schwartz is the founder and owner of Camp Chai Leagues in Chicago, an organization he created to bring kids in the community together through the power of sports. With a passion for teamwork, connection, and positive competition, Sammy saw an opportunity to build a space where kids could play a variety of sports while forming real friendships along the way. His vision goes beyond winning games—Camp Chai Leagues is about confidence, sportsmanship, and a sense of belonging. Under Sammy’s leadership, the league has become a fun, welcoming environment where kids can stay active, compete in a friendly way, and grow both on and off the field.
While not living his dream of running Camp Chai Leagues & Camp Chai Summer Camp, Sammy and his wife Eliana live in West Rogers Park, and enjoy visiting new Chicago kosher restaurants, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Art Director
Moish Berkovits
Director of Sponsorships
Moish Berkovits is a proud lifelong resident of Lincolnwood and a dedicated member of the Chicago Jewish community. Known for his contagious energy and warm personality, Moish’s greatest joy comes from putting smiles on people’s faces and bringing positivity wherever he goes.
Growing up as a big sports kid in Chicago, sports played a huge role in Moish’s childhood. The friendships, memories, competition, and healthy outlet of spending time outside with friends became some of the experiences he valued most. As he grew older, he felt there was an opportunity to create even more for the next generation of kids in the community he loves so deeply.
With a deep passion for sports, leadership, and community, Moish believes athletics are about far more than competition. Through sports, kids build confidence, teamwork, discipline, friendships, and strong Torah values both on and off the field. Whether coaching, mentoring, or organizing programs, he brings excitement, positivity, and heart into everything he does.
Alongside a career in healthcare spanning over a decade, Moish has poured his passion into helping grow Camp Chai Leagues into a place where children, teens, and adults can connect, compete, and create lifelong memories together. His vision is to continue expanding opportunities through more sports, more leagues, more platforms, and new community initiatives that inspire healthy living, confidence, friendships, and growth.
